Govt to initiate no-confidence motion against Deputy Chairman of Senate

Government coalition parties have decided to bring a motion of no confidence against the Deputy Chairman of the Senate.

The ruling coalition has decided to move a no-confidence motion against the Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Afridi, and sources say that more than 50 senators are ready to move a no-confidence motion against Mirza Afridi.

According to sources, the ruling coalition currently has a clear majority to bring a no-confidence motion, while the PTI has the support of only 33 members.

Sources say that the motion of no confidence against the Deputy Chairman of the Senate will be submitted to the Senate Secretariat at any time.

According to the sources, ANP and JUI are active to take the post of Deputy Chairman of the Senate, however, in case of no-confidence motion, the decision of the new Deputy Chairman of the Senate will be decided by the ruling coalition.
