ISLAMABAD, July 17 (Online):  Government has said in National  Assembly (NA) there is no electricity shortfall in the country.

Rafi Ullah MNA questioned if there is no shortfall of electricity then why load shedding is being observed for 6 to 8 hours daily.

 Reacting to hue and cry from opposition members in NA Friday on non-provision of development funds by the government, Federal Minister Omar Ayub said PTI members in Sindh assembly are also being not provided funds.

PPP leader Raja Pervez Ashraf said Prime Minister (PM) had said a mammoth gas and oil reservoir has been discovered from sea. Where this reservoir has gone.

Parliamentary secretary energy said there was likelihood of discovery of  this  reservoir  but we could not succeed.

Maulana Akbar Chitrali said prices of oil have been curtailed in Pakistan but its  benefit has not trickled down to the people. The question is this has government held any one responsible for it.

To a supplementary question, Omar Ayub said why Sindh government is not providing funds to PTI members of Sindh Assembly.  Aziz Khan home was targetted  in firing but government did nothing. .

Agha Rafi Ullah said funds are not being provided to them. Opposition has  caused what harm to government.

Minister for communication told the house Peshawar motorway to new Islamabad airport metro bus project is near to completion.

Murad Saeed told the house this project will be accomplished by the end of July, Equipments had not reached from Spain and China due to corona virus.

Energy minister Omar Ayub said there is no shortage of electricity in the country. Supply is available to meet energy demands.  Power distribution companies are not observing  load shedding in the perspective of this factor.  Load shedding is next to nil as per federal cabinet directives.

Minister for human  rights Shireen Mazari said government has taken several steps to empower the women and girls. Government has passed several bills including domestic violence bill-2020, inheritance bill, 2019, ICT disabled persons rights bill, torture detention death, rape bill, Christian marriage bill, journalists, media rights protection bill-2020. Free legal aid is being provided to the women who are subjected to torture.

Foreign minister Shah Mehmood  Qureshi told the house in writing Pakistan has forged bilateral ties with South Asian states and Pakistan is endeavoring to reinforce these relations.
