Great relief from Islamabad High Court for teachers on deputation from provinces

ISLAMABAD February 17, 2021: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has barred teachers on deputation from returning to the provinces. A large number of female teachers came to the court room after the decision and started crying from sheer relief after hearing the decision. The Federal education system has decided to suspend the decision to send teachers back to provinces. After the suspension of the order, the way was opened for the teachers to go to school Chief Justice Athar Minallah who suspended the decision of December 11, 2020.

In hindsight, the order of the Federal Directorate of Education cannot be upheld, the court said. At the next hearing, the court has summoned the DG Federal Education System on March 9 and has asked them to explain why the federal education system issued such an order. The teachers also staged a sit-in at D-Chowk. Teachers on deputation will be able to go to school from tomorrow, the Chief Justice said.

The orders for return of teachers to provinces has been suspended and a restraining order has been issued. “Director Legal Federal Directorate of Education has no knowledge of law. Director Legal is misleading this court,” remarks of Chief Justice Athar Minallah. “Such unilateral decisions forced teachers to sit in D-Chowk,” Chief Justice Athar Minallah said. ” We have summoned the DG in person at the next hearing and he should come and explain why teachers working in 2006 or earlier are being evicted.” Chief Justice Athar Minallah.
