Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa has said that the district administration Lahore should take strict action on the road cut without permission.

He said that it has been decided in principle that the green belts of the city will be lower than the road level.

WASA will provide technical support for rainwater drainage and surface water recharge regarding green belts. Commissioner Lahore also said that the district administration WASA, PHA, LDA should prepare an action plan and timelines regarding lowering green belts. TEPA survey should be started that the rain water standing on certain roads will be poured into the canal through gully grating.

The greenbelts down the street will start from the Alizeb Green Median in the CBD, he said. He said that the committee should make a schedule on which roads the work is being started regarding green belts.
