H.H. Nahyan and PM Sharif pledge to strengthen bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: In a telephonic conversation on Tuesday, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan pledged to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries. 

During the telephonic conversation, Prime Minister Sharif and President Zayed Al Nahyan discussed matters of mutual interest. The two resolved to further work towards strengthening bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and UAE in different fields and areas.

The premier extended condolences on behalf of Pakistan to H.H. Nahyan and expressed deep grief over the loss of life and property in the UAE caused by the recent floods. Some Pakistani nationals residing in the UAE were caught in the flood as well.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also offered his condolences to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the recent helicopter crash as a result of which several Pakistani military personnel embraced martyrdom. The president also expressed his sympathies for the loss caused by the recent flash floods in Pakistan.

The two leaders pledged to further solidify Pak-UAE ties and increase economic cooperation, with prime focus on areas of investment, energy and infrastructure.
