Nov 24, 2021: Veteran all-rounders Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik and star fast bowler Hassan Ali are likely to miss the T20 home series against the West Indies.

West Indies will tour Pakistan next month.

The three-match series will start on December 13 at the National Stadium in Karachi. Hafeez, who withdrew from the Bangladesh T20I, has no plans to play in the home series against the West Indies. Geo News quoted their sources as saying that he would play in the Lankan Premier League. The 41-year-old has also taken a no-objection certificate from the Pakistan Cricket Board to participate in the league.

Malik, meanwhile, who returned to Dubai due to his son’s health problems before the third T20I against Bangladesh, is also set to miss the T20I against the West Indies. According to Cricket Pakistan, the all rounder has also informed captain Babar Azam and chief selector Muhammad Waseem of its plan.

In addition, fast bowler Hassan Ali is likely to be rested for the home series. It should be noted that Pakistan will host three Twenty20 and three ODI matches of West Indies in Karachi from December 13 to 22.
