Hafeez Center Fire: Lahore Police underway to control fire

Lahore, 18th October: Lahore police are also trying to control the fire at Hafeez Center, Lahore that erupted today early in the morning.

Baaghi TV: Lahore Police is also trying to control the fire at Hafeez Center. SP Model Town Dost Muhammad has been present on the spot since early morning.

According to CCPO Lahore, full support is being provided to emergency vehicles by Lahore Police. There are three reserves of Lahore Police along with SP Model Town Dost Mohammad.

Citizens are being kept away from the fire, Lahore CCPO Omar Sheikh has directed to keep the road clear for emergency and other rescue vehicles.

It is reported that the fire broke out on the second floor of the plaza at 6 am which engulfed a large part of the plaza. According to initial estimates, 50 to 60 shops were burnt to ashes. According to sources, fire trucks arrived 2 hours late.

The shops in the plaza contained electronics including mobile phones and computers, which is causing the fire to intensify, while diesel drums on the roof of the plaza used for generators also caught fire.

Twelve rescue vehicles and a snorkel are engaged in extinguishing the blaze, but the intensity of the blaze could not be contained after 3 hours.
