Hassaan Khan Niazi, a PTI leader and Imran Khan’s nephew, has been handed over to the military for trial due to his alleged involvement in the May 9 vandalism at Lahore’s Jinnah House.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) was informed of this development. Niazi, who had been in hiding since the May 9 and 10 protests, was apprehended by the police on August 13 in Abbottabad.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) had requested information from the federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments regarding his arrest and set August 18 for the hearing. The PHC was also informed by Niazi’s legal representatives that his whereabouts were unknown since his arrest.
