Heavy fog across Punjab plains, drivers advised caution

In the plain of Punjab, fog has been prevailing since the morning of Saturday, November 26, when the motorway was closed at several places due to the visibility being affected.

According to the Motorway Police, Motorway M2 was closed from Lahore to Sheikhupura due to heavy fog. According to the spokesperson of the Motorway Police, the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway was closed from Muridke due to the monsoon fog.

Police have advised road users to use front and rear fog lights and avoid unnecessary travel, while avoiding speeding and keeping an adequate distance from the vehicle in front.

The spokesman said that road users should contact helpline 130 for information and assistance. Information can also be obtained from the “Humsafar app” of the Motorway Police.

On the other hand, Hafizabad and surrounding areas are also under the fog, which has affected the flow of traffic.
