London, 4th January: The United Kingdom has named its best fashion influencer of the year 2020.
Baaghi TV: Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has been named the UK’s most popular fashion influencer, after overtaking Meghan Markle last year.
The fashion experts have analysed the final results of which celebrity inspired the biggest spikes in shopping searches or sales of specific items in 2020.
In first place was the Duchess of Cambridge, 38, whose floral dress by ‘Faithfull The Brand’ saw shoppers search for the garment 112 per cent more, followed by ‘This Morning’ host Holly Willoughby and the Duchess of Sussex in third place.
Kate Middleton wore the floral dress in June during a visit to The Nook in Framingham Earl, Norfolk.
TV show host Holly Willoughby was the second most influential celebrity of the year. The TV has created the ‘Holly effect’ by sharing her outfits and co-ordinated looks on social media.
When the Duchess of Sussex, 39, first joined The Firm in 2017, the ‘Meghan Effect’ saw shoppers go wild for anything she wore, but her fashion influence dramatically declined after Megxit.
US singer Harry Styles made it to the fourth position with Lily Collins from Netflix series ‘Emily In Paris’ holding the fifth position.
However, Kate officially became the year’s biggest style influencer with her more premium look during the lockdown.
