Baaghi TV has learnt that 5,000 new cases have been reported across Pakistan, with 83 deaths confirmed according to the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC).

According to reports, latest figures released by the NCOC have shown that the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Pakistan is 14,613 while out of 678,165 patients, 56,347 are active cases. Meanwhile, 67,205 patients have recovered since the outbreak earlier last year.

Moreover, the Corona positivity rate has risen to 9.93% across Pakistan as per the NCOC.

According to reports, provincial statistics show highest mortality rate in Punjab with 4,504 deaths. Meanwhile, most reported reported cases in Sindh with 265,917 cases.

Since the third wave of COVID-19 started across Pakistan, government and other senior officials have urged the public to adhere to SOPs by wearing masks and maintaining social distance. According to reports, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information, Punjab has said that the Punjab government is fully complying with the directive of the NCOC.
