I wanted to be a singer but luck made me an actress!

“I wanted to be a singer but luck made me an actress,” says Kinza Hashmi, a well-known actress in the Pakistani TV industry.

Baaghi TV: Actress and model Kinza Hashmi in a recent interview talked about her showbiz career. She said that when most artists are asked how you become an actor, their answer is accidental. For me, It all happened because I wanted to be a singer and somehow luck made me an actress.

The actress said that she was very fond of singing since her childhood. After matriculating, she was studying more. When she became interested in singing, she started to pursue a career in singing. There was no offer to sing but there was an offer for modeling. That’s how she entered the showbiz industry.

Kinza Hashmi added that when she was a second year student, she was offered a modeling job and accepted it.

“My first shoot was done by renowned fashion photographer and make-up artist Khawar Riaz. After that I participated in a fashion show at a local hotel in Lahore. Drama director Zulfiqar Ali saw me there. He offered me acting. I said no. I don’t like acting. I want to sing.”

“Nevertheless, he told me to come for the audition and so i went. It was a very disappointing audition. But Zulfiqar Ali was adamant that I acted. He said, ‘The audition is in front of you. I will do the acting myself.’ The director gave me acting classes for fifteen days. After that the shooting of the play started and so I got my first play. Four years have passed and I still don’t believe how so much time could have passed.”

The actress said that in the dramas in which she had acted so far, ‘Adhura Milan’, ‘Sangsaar’, ‘Man chahi’, ‘Moray Saiyaan’, ‘Meri Bahuwein’, ‘Ishq Tamasha’, ‘Sila’, ‘Mohabbat Tum se Nafrat Hai’, ‘Rani’, ‘DalDal’, ‘Lamhey’, ‘Tu Ishq Hai’, Seerat’, ‘Hum Issi Ke Hain’, ‘Rani Naukrani’, ‘Gul o Gulzaar’, ‘Dewaar e Shab’, ‘Tu Mera Junoon’ , are included, while these days ‘Tera Yahan Koi Nahi’ is on air.
