Indian Air Force issues new statement three days after helicopter crash
Indian Air Force (IAF) issues a new statement three days after the helicopter crash that resulted in the death of thirteen people including Chief of Defence, General Bipin Rawat, and his wife. A Court of Inquiry of the three services has been constituted, the Indian Air Force said. The inquiry will be completed expeditiously and the facts of the accident will be brought to light, speculation should be avoided until the investigation into the helicopter crash is completed. Karachi police prepare security plan for West Indies tour On the other hand, the bodies of Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and his wife, who died in a helicopter crash, have been laid to rest at their residence in Delhi. The bodies were brought to Delhi last evening. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, and other Indian officials paid homage to Bipin Rawat at his residence in Panche. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also arrived to pay tributes. Congress leader Malkarjan Kharge and former defense minister AK Antony also visited Bipin Rawat’s residence and paid tributes.
