Ian Chappell: Climate Change Threatens Cricket

Former Australian cricketer Ian Chappel has believed that cricket is facing a dire threat from climate change.

According to details, Ian Chappel has stated that first concern should be the effects of climate change by administrators of the game. He also gives priority to day-night test matches over day matches. “In order for test cricket to survive, day-night test matches should be considered as first priority.” he said.

Reportedly, In World Cup 2019, many matches have been called off due to rain, which effected the results later in the tournament.

In the most recent times, One Day International (ODI) match beween Pakistan and Sri Lanka has been called off due to rain. This is first time in the history of cricket that ODI match has been called off due to rain in the National Stadium Karachi.
