England defeated New Zealand by 119 runs in the 41st ODI of ICC World Cup 2019 at Riverside and qualified for Semi-final.

According to reports of Baaghitv, England won the toss and decided to bat first. England scored 305 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 50 overs. Kohny Bairstow scored another century of this World Cup. He played exquisite innings of 106 runs off 99 deliveries, which included 15 fours ad a six. Jason Roy scored 60 runs while skipper Eoin Morgan contributed 42 runs. Trent Boult, Matt Henry and James Neesham picked up 2 wickets each.

Chasing a target of 306, New Zealand was bowled out on 186 runs in 45 overs. Tom Latham played a fighting innings of 57 runs of 65 balls. Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor scored 27 and 28 runs respectively. Mark Wood picked up 3 wickets. Stokes, Woakes and Archer picked up a wicket each.

Jonny Bairstow was awarded man of the match award for his brilliant century. He scored back to back century and played great role in bringing English team back to winning track. With this victory, England has qualified for semi-final of 12th edition of ICC World Cup. England has qualified for semi-final since 1992 World Cup.
