IG Sindh and Senior Police Officers to go on leaves
Karachi, 20th October: Inspector General (IG) Sindh and his associates have gone on leave to protest against the extremely rude attitude of the Sindh government. According to Baaghi TV, Additional IG Special Branch Karachi Imran Yaqoob Minhas has applied for a two-month leave out of frustration with the situation and the attitude of the PPP leadership. He said in his petition that all the officers have been in shock since yesterday and could not work in such an environment. Sources said that several other police officers are also likely to go on leave. The decision has come after the incident that happened yesterday in Karachi after PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz’s husband Captain (retired) Safdar was arrested by the Karachi police on the desecration of the Mazar-e-Quaid. Additional IG Imran Yaqub Minhas has written in his petition that there has been undue interference in the work of Sindh Police. The provincial government is deliberately spoiling the situation and so they can’t work anymore. Sources said that several police officers are also ready to go on leave. Reportedly, DIG Larkana Nasir Aftab has also decided to go on holiday. Stay tuned to Baaghi TV for more news and updates!
