The court has issued a notice for the next week on the request to restore the right of defence. While the request to transfer the Toshakhana case to another court has been rejected.
Before the decision of the Islamabad High Court, on Friday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, while dealing with the appeals of former Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding the Toshakhana case, and remarked that it is expected that the High Court and the Sessions Court will decide on the matter according to the law.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Yahya Afridi disposed of the request of the PTI chairman in this regard.
Justice Yahya remarked at Tehreek-e-Insaf’s request regarding the transfer of the Tosha Khana case is already pending in the Islamabad High Court.
An application was filed in the Islamabad High Court regarding the Toshakhana case, while final arguments are also being heard in the trial court.
