Lahore, 1st July: In-camera meeting of National Security Committee continues under the chairmanship of Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser which is attended by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and DG ISI. According to details, Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended the meeting on Thursday. However, Prime Minister Imran Khan is not present in the meeting. Meanwhile, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani attended the meeting on special invitation. The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid and Defense Minister Pervez Khattak. According to reports, Adviser Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan and National Security Advisor Moeed Yousuf participated in the meeting too. The meeting was attended by four Chief Ministers. The meeting was attended by parliamentary leaders of the Senate and the National Assembly. The Parliament is being briefed on the overall situation in the region, including Afghanistan and Occupied Kashmir. DG ISI briefed the attendees on the overall situation in the region, sources said.
