Imran Khan appointed Shahbaz Gill as his Chief of Staff

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party Chairman Imran Khan has appointed Dr Shahbaz Gill, who served him as a special assistant in the government, as his chief of staff, it was announced on Wednesday.

According to a notification in connection with Gill’s appointment, Shahbaz Gill as the chief of staff will look after the affairs of the chairman’s office and related activities. He will also be in charge of Imran’s security routine and political activities.

Earlier the designation was held by PTI leader Naeemul Haque, who died due to cancer. Shahbaz Gill will perform his duties from the Bani Gala.

Responding to the appointment as the chief of staff, Gill said like Haque, he will work hard for the PTI chairman and the party. He added that Haque had performed immense services to the cause of PTI.

Earlier in the day, Gill, whose name had been placed on the no-fly list, had gotten relief from the Islamabad High Court that had asked the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to remove the travel ban on the PTI leader.

On the other hand, Usman Dar has been appointed as Imran Khan’s Focal Person for Youth Affairs. With the approval of Imran Khan, a notification has been issued for the appointment of Usman Dar.

Usman Dar said that he was grateful to party chairman Imran Khan, who had entrusted him with the responsibility of youth affairs. He further said that in this new movement we will mobilize the youth more than before and involve them in decision making to make the youth active.
