Imran Khan is neither the Nawab of the state nor is he a King, so he will be held accountable like everyone else, claimed Pakistani politician and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Maryam Nawaz.
According to Baaghi TV reports, appeals in the Avenfield reference were heard in the Islamabad High Court (IHC). PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz appeared before the court, while Advocate Azhar Siddique gave arguments on behalf of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The NAB prosecutor asked for four weeks to prepare, adding that the notification of his appointment was issued yesterday. In this regard, Justice Amir Farooq of the IHC gave a four-week respite to the NAB prosecutor to prepare the case.

Following her appearance in court, Maryam Nawaz told the media that the court has given the NAB prosecutor four weeks adding, that a delay means a denial of justice. According to Nawaz, NAB asks for a respite as soon as the court asks for evidence. She added that Imran Khan’s governance reminds her of former President Pervez Musharraf. Nawaz continued that Imran Khan used a state agency against the citizen yesterday.

Nawaz stated that the PTI supporters attacked our house in London, it is unfortunate that people climb the walls of someone else’s houses.

Maryam Nawaz continued, Imran Khan’s list of crimes is long including using state institutions and politics for revenge. According to the PML-N leader, the Prime Minister of Pakistan is not the Nawab of the state, nor is he the King thereby he is equally accountable. Nawaz stated that PM Khan should learn to accept criticism.

Moreover, Maryam Nawaz stated that PM Khan should refrain from diplomatic visits because wherever he goes, he makes a spectacle of Pakistan. Nawaz added that Pakistan is alone and isolated from others, its diplomatic ties are spoiled, and yet, PM Khan used state institutions against a citizen. The Opposition leader questioned, will Imran Khan send FIA after the public when it questions and criticizes him?
