PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Mahmood Khan has said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will inaugurate Phase-II Motorway in the province this year.

According to details, in a statement, the KP chief minister said that the Rs 8 billion project for water supply to Mingora will start in December, while PM Imran Khan will also inaugurate the Motorway Phase II this year.

He said that smart lockdown is being implemented and tourism will be opened soon. Moreover, Rs 24 billion has been allocated for the prevention of coronavirus and private educational institutions will resume from September 15.

Meanwhile, the KPK government has made progress on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. Travel cards of BRT project will be issued from today, however, a total of one lakh travel cards will be distributed. According to the details, these travel cards will be distributed in phases at all 31 stations.

The cost of each card will be Rs 100. Passengers will be able to avail the best facilities of the train through these cards.
