February 12, 2021: In Punjab, there are significant concerns over the distribution of Senate tickets to the Prime Minister’s friends. Even after not receiving development funds for two and a half years, MPAs are looking upset.
And it’s not just a few MPAs, it’s about 57. There is apparently a rebel group of 15 to 20 members led by Khawaja Muhammad Dawood Soleimani, but according to sources, the actual number of MPAs in the breakaway faction is three times that.
The most angry members are from the districts of South Punjab. Among the disillusioned members are two from Bhakkar, one from Attock, four from Dera Ghazi Khan, one from Lodhran, seven from Multan, six from Rahim Yar Khan, one from Bahawalnagar, three from Rajanpur, one from Bahalpur and five from Jhang. K, three from Gujarat, two from Jhelum and Khushab, eight from Faisalabad, one from Mandi Bahauddin, three from Sargodha, one from Hafizabad, two from Sheikhupura, one from Toba Tek Singh and three from Rawalpindi.
Out of 181 PTI members in the Punjab Assembly, about 57 dissident people have come forward. Not only that, but out of these 57 people, about 85% of the members are electables, these are the people who joined the PTI through Jahangir Tareen’s plane, with the help of manipulations and promises.
