In his address to the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, United States (US) President Donald Trump once again blamed China for spreading the coronavirus.

While addressing the UN General Assembly, Trump said China should be held accountable for spreading the coronavirus worldwide. The US President said that at the beginning of the epidemic, China banned its domestic flights but continued flights abroad from its country so that the virus could spread all over the world.

He said that when the United States stopped flights to China, China condemned it, even though at that time China had locked down its own people and had also stopped domestic flights.

In a virtual address to the UN General Assembly, President Trump said that if the UN is to become an effective body, it must focus on real issues such as terrorism, exploitation of women, human and drug trafficking, religious oppression and genocide of religious minorities. United States has always been and will continue to be a champion of human rights, the US President added.

It should be noted that since the presidency of Donald Trump, the Cold War between China and the United States has intensified. From day one, Donald Trump has accused China of spreading the coronavirus around the world, but China denies this.

In his address to the General Assembly, the Chinese President also said that differences between the countries should be resolved through dialogue, adding that China does not want to wage any kind of war, hot or cold, with any country.

Earlier, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, without naming China and the United States, said in a speech that all countries in the world must avoid the Cold War and conflict as much as possible.
