Despite the corona virus and lockdown, exports have increased dramatically on a monthly basis during May 2020, an increase of 45.35% in May compared to April.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, exports declined by 33.64% in May 2020 compared to May 2019, while exports declined by 6.87% in the first 11 months of the current financial year.
According to a documents received by Dunya News, the volume of exports in May 2020 was 1.39 billion dollars, the volume of exports in May 2019 was 2.96 billion dollars, the volume of exports in April 2020 was only 957 million. It was a million dollars.
According to the documents, the trade deficit in May was 50% lower than in May last year, imports in May were 43.17% lower than in May last year, and imports in May were 11% lower than in April.
According to the statistics agency, the volume of exports during July-May stood at 19.796 billion, compared to 21.256 billion in the same period last year. The trade deficit decreased by 27.77% in the first 11 months of the current financial year. ۔
