India Gifts Buses, Ambulances, Tractors To Uganda
India has gifted 10 executive buses, five ambulances, 10 tractors, and 2,664 flags and flag poles to Uganda ahead of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement, or NAM, contact group summit in Kampala this month.
In a post on X, the High Commissioner of India to Uganda wrote, “On behalf of Govt. of India gifted 10 executive buses, 5 ambulances, 10 tractors and 2664 flags/flag poles promised by EAM @DrSJaishankar to @GenJejeOdongo, Minister of Foreign Affairs @UgandaMFA, to support Ugandan side to host @NAM_Uganda & @G77Summit_Ug Summits.”
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda wrote on X, “The MFA @GenJejeOdongo
received a donated consignment of buses, ambulances, tractors, and assorted flags for @NAM_Uganda and @G77summit_Ug plus observer nations and international organizations from the Republic of India at the Ministry Headquarters in Kampala -Uganda.”
“The items were delivered by the High Commissioner of India to Uganda, HE Upender Singh Rawat ahead of the two Summits due for 15-20th and 21st and 22nd January 2024 respectively at Speke Resort Hotel, Munyoyo -Kampala,” it added.
