PUNE (13th Oct, 2019): India beats South Africa by an innings and 137 runs in second Test match.

According to details, India beats South Africa by an innings and 137 runs to take an unbeatable 2-0 series lead. South Africa were all out for only 189 runs in their second innings. After being asked to follow-on, Proteas were all out in 67.2 overs.

Indian bowlers Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each, Ravichandran Ashwin took 2 wickets. Moreover, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma also took one wicket each. Vernon Philander and Maharaj were the top scorers from South Africa, who scored 37 and 22 respectively.

Reportedly, the third and final Test of the series will be played in Ranchi from 19th of October. Indian Captain, Virat Kohli said “We will focus on the last Test match as well, because in Test championship every game has it’s own value.”
