Indian atrocities and Pandemic effects on Kashmiris

Srinagar, 7th May: Kashmiris are being worst-ever hit by the Indian atrocities on one hand and on the other by the dreadful effects of the pandemic.

It is reported that 9 people suffering from the coronavirus have died while there are 34 new cases reported in Jammu Kashmir, rising the total toll to 775. There are now 42 cases in the Ladakh region.

Confirming the death of the young man, Dr. Saleem Khan, Nodal Officer, Government Medical College, Srinagar, said, “The father of the 32-year-old was undergoing treatment at the Super Specialty Hospital. And the young man was there to take care of his father. According to South Asian Wire, the 32-year-old from the Alamgiri Bazaar area of Srinagar city was the youngest patient to die of coronavirus last night.

He further said that on the 5th of this month, the young man was admitted to Sri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital (SMHS) due to pneumonia. He died last night and his report was found to be positive at 9 pm. According to South Asian Wire, Dr. Khan said that the body of the young man had been handed over to his family for the last rites.

Their relatives told that the man had never been out of the valley. They suspect the deceased might have got infected from a 55-year-old woman undergoing treatment in the cancer ward of Super Specialty Hospital and her 19-year-old attendant Joe Sarnkot. After few days this woman and her attendant were also found positive for coronavirus.

According to Al-Qamar Online, 34 new positive cases of coronavirus have come to light in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday and thus the total number of positive cases has reached 775.
