Indian Coast Guard Chief Rakesh Pal Passes Away After Cardiac Arrest

Director General of the Indian Coast Guard, Rakesh Pal, passed away on Sunday in Chennai after suffering a cardiac arrest. Pal, who had taken charge as the 25th Director General of the Indian Coast Guard on July 19 last year, was rushed to the Rajeev Gandhi Government Hospital after he experienced uneasiness.

Despite receiving immediate medical treatment, he could not be saved.

Arrangements are being made to bring Rakesh Pal’s mortal remains to Delhi, news agency PTI reported citing officials.
