Indian High Commission officials released

Police have released two Indian High Commission officials who escaped after injuring a civilian in a speeding car crash in Islamabad after registering a case.
Police say detained Indian High Commission officials have been released, while members of the Indian diplomatic staff have been released on diplomatic immunity.
According to police, the Indian High Commission officials were released in the presence of Pakistani Foreign Ministry officials. This morning, a citizen was crushed by a vehicle of Indian High Commission officials, after which the police took the two officials into custody and registered a case.
A case was registered against both the officers in the police station secretariat under the provisions of negligence and reckless driving. According to the FIR, counterfeit currency was also recovered from Indian officials Silva Despal and Dawa Mobarahmo.
Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi Surrounded
It may be recalled that two officials of the Indian High Commission were driving at high speed in the morning when the vehicle went out of control and one person was injured.
Sources said that Indian officials tried to flee after the accident but the citizens present on the spot apprehended the Indian High Commission officials.
India has sent a letter of protest to Syed Haider Shah over the arrest of Indian High Commission officials in Pakistan.
A letter of protest was sent to the Indian Foreign Office summoning Pakistan and demanding immediate release of Indian High Commission officials from Pakistan.
