According to the report of Baaghi TV, a meeting of the Senate was held under the chairmanship of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani. Speaking in the Senate, Senator Ijaz Chaudhry said that a video of a girl belonging to Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) has been released, which has shaken the entire Islamic world.

The issue of an increase in drug prices came up for discussion during the Senate meeting. The Minister of National Health Services submitted a written reply to the Senate. In response, it was stated that the prices of essential medicines have been increased by 5.13%, prices of low-cost medicines risen by 7.34%, prices of 102 medicines have risen by 2.53%, and 311.61% respectively.
During the Senate meeting, Senator Mushtaq Ahmed said that Kashmiris are not allowed to collect the bodies of their martyred brothers and sisters, that they are not allowed to hold funerals for them. When all this was happening in Kashmir, our Parliament was passing legislation regarding Kulbhushan Jadhav. The Senator added, Saifullah Paracha was acquitted at Guantanamo Bay, eighteen years of cruelty to an innocent Pakistani. Who will answer for this?
Moreover, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan, said that all this happened under President Musharraf’s rule. Jamaat-e-Islami and JUI had supported Musharraf, however, it was Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI)’s leader Imran Khan who took a stand on the issue. He added that former PM Nawaz Sharif did not mention Kulbhushan Jadhav once, now his memory is bothering him. Even more people are going to be released from Guantanamo, Saifullah Paracha will be in Pakistan soon.
The issue of quota for FATA students in medical colleges across the country was also discussed in the Senate session. The government replied that it had increased the quota for students from FATA and Balochistan by 793 seats. Senator Ayub Afridi, Senator Mehrtaj Roghani demanded to forward the concern to the committee.
Earlier, a meeting was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Railway Minister Azam Khan Swati. Timeliness of trains, shortage of coaches, derailment, measures to prevent accidents at level crossings, and land leasing issues were also discussed.
Minister for Railways Azam Swati said that if the management is improved, the railway will run better, let’s form our own team for the betterment of the organization and get the required results. We need to focus on freight to increase our revenue. Every possible step should be taken to meet the shortage of coaches. Wherever there is drilling, use all your resources to clear the track quickly, consider the workers as your asset and appreciate their good work.
