India: A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force has crashed near Churu district of Rajasthan. Police and administrative teams rushed to the spot immediately after the incident.

According to locals, a loud noise was heard in the sky, followed by flames and smoke rising from the fields. The crash occurred in Bhanuda village.

A pilot’s body was recovered near the wreckage, and was found in a severely damaged state. Identification of the body is being carried out by the Army and local administration.

As soon as news of the crash spread, panic gripped Ratangarh. Collector Abhishek Surana and local police officials have left for the site.

Villagers said the crash caused a fire in the fields, which they tried to extinguish on their own. The exact cause of the incident will be confirmed by the Army.
