The New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency (SIA), along with Indian paramilitary forces, conducted house raids in Srinagar city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The SIA and paramilitary personnel carried out a raid at the residence of an air-conditioning technician, Tufail Niyaz Butt, in the Batamaloo area of the city.
During the thorough search of the house, the family was harassed and terrorized by the forces, who continue to act with impunity under the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).
The air-conditioning technician, Tufail Niyaz Butt, is already in the custody of Indian police and agencies in a fake case related to the Red Fort blast in New Delhi.
The SIA, along with paramilitary forces, also searched other houses and interrogated several persons in the city.
