In a bold move, Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Mohammad Nurul Hoda has tendered his resignation in protest against the contentious amendments to the Waqf Act.

Hoda, who last served as Inspector General (IG) in the Railway Protection Force, cited the recent changes to the Waqf laws as a direct threat to the autonomy and heritage of the Muslim community.

His resignation has resonated deeply with growing unrest among Muslims across India who view the amendments as a systemic encroachment on their religious and communal assets.
