ISLAMABAD: India’s growing aggression in the region Rs 1.290 trillion allocated for defense, according to reports, the federal government has presented a budget for the financial year 20-2021.In which it has been proposed to set aside Rs. 12 trillion 90 billion for the defense budget.

In the National Assembly, Minister for Industries and Production Hamad Azhar presented the budget for the financial year 2020-21, in which he said that in difficult circumstances, adhering to the principles of austerity, we are grateful to the Armed Forces of Pakistan for their austerity. Has fully cooperated in the efforts of the slogan.

It may be recalled that during the financial crisis in the country during the Coronavirus, the government has presented a budget of Rs 70.13 trillion and announced no new tax.

It should be noted that during the current financial year 2019-20, which lasted till June 30, the government had kept the defense budget the same as the previous financial year, mainly due to the economic difficulties facing the country.

During the current financial year, a budget of Rs. 1152 billion was allocated for defense in which Rs.138 billion has been added for the next financial year and it is proposed to allocate Rs. 1290 billion for this.

It may be recalled that in the budget for the financial year 2018-19, the PML-N government had proposed Rs 11 trillion (1100 billion) for defense, an increase of 19.4% over the year 2017-18. Earlier, Rs 920 billion was earmarked for defense in the 2017-18 budget and an increase of Rs 180 billion was added to it in 2018-19.
