India's Response to Kashmir Mention in Pakistan-Iran Statement: A Comprehensive Analysis | Baaghi TV

In a recent joint statement, Pakistan and Iran expressed their stance on the Kashmir issue, advocating for its resolution through peaceful means aligned with the will of the Kashmiri people.

This declaration came following Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s inaugural visit to Pakistan. However, India swiftly reacted to this development, highlighting its concerns by engaging with Iranian authorities through the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), represented by spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

The statement acknowledged the evolving regional and global dynamics, emphasizing the significance of peaceful dispute resolution through dialogue and diplomacy to address common challenges. However, India’s response underscores the complexities surrounding the Kashmir issue and its broader implications for regional stability taking out rights of Kashmiiris from the equation, trashing it!

Moreover, India’s domestic policies, both the abrogation of Article 370 and the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in 2019, have stirred both domestic and international debates. The CAA offers Indian citizenship to religious minorities particularly excluding Muslims, and has raised questions about the principles of secularism and inclusivity enshrined in India’s constitution.

Critics argue that the CAA, coupled with the annulment of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the Ayodhya verdict, reflects a broader trend of Hindu nationalism permeating Indian governance. These measures, they claim, undermine the secular fabric of India and marginalize its Muslim population, signaling a departure from the principles of equality and pluralism.

The cumulative effect of these policies, viewed through the lens of Hindu nationalism, raises concerns about the direction of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. The narrative surrounding these developments suggests a shift towards exclusivist ideologies, which could potentially exacerbate communal tensions and undermine India’s secular ethos.

In essence, India’s reaction to the mention of Kashmir in the Pakistan-Iran joint statement ignores the very changing of the special status of Indian Occupied Kashmir & interpretation of the term “Citizenship” within.

The core question here is: does any civilized nation in the world allow citizenship on grounds of religion? To answer to this basic question, one needs to analyze the definition of ‘citizen’.

A well argued blog highlighting brazen violations of fundamental rights of the Kashmiris and non-Hindu citizens of India! It’s an eye opening article for those who genuinely believe in promoting Pak-India friendship.
