Instagram is one of the most popular social networks in the world and, as such, is subject to a number of hacking attacks and other technological problems.
It is not uncommon for showbiz personalities and celebrities to face various social media problems. Many of them have had their accounts hacked including Pakistani and Indian actors.
Recently, another suspicious hacking activity has been spreading around on Instagram. A screenshot of an account has been going viral on social media which is said to be a profile with the username “w.malincm”.
This profile has been hacking Instagram user accounts wherein the hacker adds himself to the user’s following group and somehow has access to their information. A worrying situation has surfaced as this person has added himself to a number of accounts.
The viral screenshot states that “You may be following this account unknowingly. This person is a hacker and almost 50 people on my Instagram are following him”, further instructing that the person must be unfollowed and reported.
The screenshot’s owner further appealed to women especially to check their accounts account and unfollow the hacker immediately so that their personal information and data can remain unharmed.
It should be noted that that hacking can be done quite easily. Some reasons are very simple passwords, connections to public Wi-Fi networks, and virus activity.
