Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting with Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, Senior Advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on International Affairs, during his official visit to Iran.
The two leaders discussed a range of issues including bilateral relations, regional developments, and matters of mutual interest. Special attention was given to the current regional situation in the aftermath of the Iran-Israel ceasefire.
Minister Naqvi conveyed the best wishes of Pakistan’s political and military leadership for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Speaking during the meeting, Naqvi emphasized the historic strength of Pakistan-Iran relations, stating, “Whether in times of war or peace, Pakistan and Iran have always stood by each other. No enemy can create a rift in our brotherly ties.”
The meeting was also attended by Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, and senior Iranian diplomats.
Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, a seasoned statesman and former Iranian Foreign Minister, lauded the deep-rooted friendship between the two neighboring countries and expressed Iran’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation with Pakistan.
