The international community must pressure for resolution of the Afghan conflict, says US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has called on the international community to put pressure on parties involved to resolve the Afghan conflict.
He says international pressure is needed to reach an agreement between the Afghan government and the Taliban, and that pressure must be increased to give the Afghan people the government they deserve and want.
It is to be noted that US President Joe Biden has announced that he will completely withdraw American troops from Afghanistan by September 11, while the Taliban have also assured that Afghan territory will not be used against any other nation.
