International Day of the Girl is being celebrated by Pakistan Girls Guide Association

Islamabad: International Day of the Girl is being celebrated by Pakistan Girls Guide Association National Head Quarters (NHQ) on 11th October 2021 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM noon.

Sources have revealed that more than 600 guides and students of age 6-12 years are excepted to join the celebration event.

Different organizations and companies like World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Dettol, and Colgate are organizing the event. Different activities for girl guides will be organized as well by these companies and organizations.

People from the parliament will be present at the event to boost the confidence of girls and students. Ms. Syma Nadeem, Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Interprovincial Coordination, and Ms. Wajiha Akram Parliamentary Secretary for Education will be the Guests of Honor at the event.

National representative of WHO, Dr. Palitha Gunarathna Mahipala will launch their campaign which is “Wear a mask & save Pakistan” at 9:15  AM at the event.

According to the sources, guests from different embassies are expected to attend the event in Islamabad.

The venue for the event is; Pakistan Girl Guides Association, National Headquarters, plot# 12, St # 07, H/9-4 Islamabad.
