Recent efforts made by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, have ended the diplomatic isolation of the country. After which, many heads of state from all over the world are coming to participate in the upcoming Shanghai Conference.

Attending this years’ UNGA (UN General Assembly) PM Sharif fought the case for Palestine effectively by staging a walk out during Israeli PM Netanyahu’s address. On the other hand, the PM has also worked to expose ongoing Indian atrocities in IIOJK (Occupied Kashmir). Following which, the positive effects of Pakistan’s foreign policy are evident.

In this regard, the Malaysian PM’s recent visit to Pakistan was also a success. Today, the world is recognizing economic policies being maintained in Pakistan, while welcoming trade and investment opportunities in the country. Likewise, a KSA delegation is also planning to visit Pakistan, which is being hailed as an honour for the country. Meanwhile, government initiatives are proving an asset by bringing down inflation across Pakistan to single digits. Even the IMF and World Bank have acknowledged these efforts made by the PML-N led government.

On that note, no one should be allowed to sabotage or disrupt the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) Summit.

Where on the one hand, the country seems to be coming out of its economic funk, on the other, the PTI government is working to further isolate Pakistan in the international community because why else are they staging sit-ins and conducting marches at a time when the economy is finally moving towards improvement? These improving conditions are making enemies of the state sleepless.

PTI, which is currently governing the country’s northern province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), has not done any work to improve conditions for the people, there are neither good schools nor hospitals in the region. Rather, there is only chaos, violence and destruction as they continue to promote their anti-military and anti-state narrative. It is not difficult to understand that they are expecting to get an NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) at the end.

In lieu of this, Barrister Saif invited serving Indian Foreign Minister to participate in the protest. A controversial move as it begs the question why only India was allowed to partake in the sit-in when other states are also part of the SCO. Meanwhile, Ali Amin Gandapur who is leading the PTI government in KPK is a frivolous person who is using government arms against the Federation itself. Instead, should he not be actively working to solve the problems faced by the KP locals rather than wasting resources to take on the government?

One thing is clear, the sit-in in the red zone only aims to paralyze the government. However, the Shehbaz-led governance has vowed to allow no one to enter the red zone area. They have determined that they will not allow anyone to take the law into their hands and cause further damage to the country.
