IOSA to conduct complete audit of PIA for aviation safety
Karachi: International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) will conduct a full audit of he Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
According to details, the international aviation audit team will visit Pakistan next month to conduct a complete audit of the national airline. The purpose of the audit is to check the safety standards and aircraft of PIA as airlines are reviewed every two years.
PIA flights suspended to operate to EU member states
The results of commercial aviation safety performance are released under the IATA which show the importance and compliance of IOSA in the prevention of air accidents. The IOSA Certification Audit is an internationally recognized diagnostic system designed to evaluate an airline’s operational management and control system.
On the other hand, regarding the ban on PIA flights to Europe and the United Kingdom (UK), the administration has decided that PIA will not give up the 65-year-old route. The national airline has decided to continue operations through alternative means during the ban.
EASA to maintain ban on PIA flight operations
PIA also issued tenders for companies seeking charter operations. The advertisement states that the services of charter flights will be available for 3 to 6 months.
