Iran says it is not involved in the attack on the Japanese petroleum tanker operated by an Israeli company off the coast of Oman, which killed two people last week. According to reports, Israel blamed Iran for the attack. Reports from international news agency Reuters, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzada, speaking in an online weekly conference, said that the Zionist state (Israel) has created insecurity, terrorism, and violence and that they (Iran) condemn allegations of any involvement with them. He stated that such allegations were baseless and that Israel wanted to divert attention from the facts.
