Twenty Indian soldiers were killed in a clash between India and China.

The details of the Indian Navy’s involvement in the exercises are still unclear, but apparently in the presence of the Chinese navy, India has refused to take part in the exercises.

Sources said that the Indian attitude has created confusion as the contradictions in the statements of the Iranian and Indian spokespersons are clear.

Admiral Hussein Khanzada, chief of the Iranian navy, said in a statement on Tuesday that India, which considers itself a strong naval power in the region, was in favor of participating in the exercises.

Amir Ghulam Mirza, spokesman for the Joint Naval Exercise, told media that the Indian Navy had shown flexibility and announced to take part in the exercises but suddenly refused at the last minute.

Some sources say that for the first time in the last 40 years, any Iranian defense minister has visited India in which the Indian navy has agreed to participate in the exercises, but the sudden Indian refusal has taken everyone by surprise.

Russia and Iran’s naval joint military exercises in Iranian waters began in 2019, with China announcing its participation this year.
