Tehran: During the ongoing war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh, Iran warned both countries about the firing of mortar shells in the border areas of Iran.

According to a foreign news agency, Iran has warned the armies of both countries about mortar shells falling on its border villages. Tehran has called it “interference” when mortars fell on rural Iran during the war.

Iran is ready to hold all kinds of talks to end the fighting and establish peace between the two countries, but the country will consider the fall of mortars in its territories as interference. According to the Iranian news agency, several mortar rounds have hit Iranian villages since Monday. Five mortars collided in the Iranian village of Pervaiz Khanlo, bordering Azerbaijan, injuring a 6-year-old boy.

A large number of people living along the border in Ardabil province gather every day to watch the fighting between the two countries, but the government has urged citizens to stay away from the disputed area due to the intensity of the fighting.
