India batter Ishan Kishan has taken a suttle dig at Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan by refusing to make over excited appeals behind the stumps during the matches.
In a social media post alongside Indian umpire Anil Chaudhary, Kishan mentioned the Pakistan keeper-batter and stated that he does not want to behave like him on the pitch.

In a video shared to his Instagram account, Chaudhary asks Kishan: “You have grown up and matured, you only appeal when required now. Earlier you used to appeal for everything. How did this change?”

In response, 26-year-old Kishan explained: “I think umpires have become smart. If I appeal every single time, even decisions that are out they will give as not out. Instead, appeal once, appeal only when it’s actually out, and they will also have confidence that we are calling at the right time.”

Kishan went on to use Rizwan as an example of what not to do. “Warna abhi (Mohammad) Rizwan type kuch karunga toh phir aap log ek bhi baar nahi denge (Otherwise if I act like Mohammad Rizwan then you will never give me a decision,)”.

Rizwan has often been criticised for being over-enthusiastic behind the stumps.

Kishan had a very quick start to the IPL season after being picked up for 11 crore by SRH, slamming 106*(47) as the team raced away to a total of 286 against RR.

Next, SRH remain at home, where they will look to continue their winning start in a match against LSG.
