According to the report of Baaghi TV, the Islamabad High Court has restrained the SECP from taking action against Arsalan Zafar.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has heard the case of Additional Director SECP Arsalan Zafar’s inquiry into data theft allegations. The court adjourned the hearing till October 12, ordering Arsalan Zafar to file a reply to the show cause notice.

Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Athar Minallah said that you have a lot to say now, these are things of public interest, these are things of public domain, it should not be said to be leaked, tell the court, how things of public domain get leaked.
The court issued notice to the parties and sought a detailed reply. The lawyer said that the petitioner should submit the reply to the show cause notice, on which the court directed Arsalan Zafar to submit the reply to the show cause notice. How many inquiries have been made on the reports?
The Additional Director SECP filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court challenging the issuance of show cause notice to the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information Lt. Gen. (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa on the leak of data related to his family business.
Additional Director SECP Muhammad Arsalan Zafar sought annulment of the inquiry committee set up to probe the data leak. In the petition filed in the court, the petitioner said that he was sent on forced leave on September 9th and the laptop was seized.
On September 14, a detailed response to the investigation into the data leak was submitted to the Investigative Committee. The report of the inquiry committee is against the facts and based on the possibilities. The show cause note sent in the light of the investigation report and the inquiry committee set up to investigate the SECP data leak should be declared null and void.
