According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the incident took place in Shewa area of ​​the district during which a terrorist named Irfan alias Abu Darda was killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorist, he added. The ISPR said the dead terrorist was involved in terrorist activities against security forces, targeted killings and kidnappings for ransom.

The ISPR further said that the locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support for eradicating the scourge of terrorism from the area. In Balochistan last week, security forces killed 20 terrorists in clearance operations after attacking two security camps in the province’s Panjgur and Noshki districts.

According to ISPR, 9 security personnel were martyred while repelling the attack.
