Issuance of Kashmir domicile to 25,000 Indians is illegal: PM

Tuesday, June 30th: According to a report by Baaghi TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that India first annexed illegally occupied Kashmir.

Tweeting on social networking site Twitter, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that India was now trying to change the demographic structure of occupied Kashmir, adding that it was illegal to issue domicile certificates of Kashmir to 25,000 Indians.

PM Imran Khan said that he has contacted the Secretary General of the United Nations, I am also contacting other world leaders, India’s actions are a threat to peace and security in South Asia. Pakistan has categorically rejected the issuance of domicile certificates of occupied Jammu and Kashmir to 25,000 Indian nationals by the Indian authorities.

Certificates issued to non-Kashmiris, including Indian government officials, under the Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Code of Conduct), 2020 are illegal, forged and in violation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions, international law and the Fourth Geneva Convention. There is a violation.

According to a Foreign Office spokesman, Pakistan has refused to issue Occupied Kashmir Certificates to more than 25,000 Indian nationals by Indian authorities, saying the United Nations and the international community have asked India to change the proportion of the population in the disputed area of Occupied Kashmir. Intervene immediately to stop where India has been aggressively occupying for decades. The international community urges India to immediately cancel all domiciles issued to non-Kashmiris and oblige India to abide by the relevant UNSC resolutions and international legal obligations.

The Foreign Office spokesperson further said that the latest move was a clear demonstration of Pakistan’s position that the illegal and unilateral measures taken by the Indian government on August 5, 2019 were aimed at changing the demographic structure of occupied Kashmir and making Kashmiris a minority in their own land.
