Italian footwear designer, Sergio Rossi, dies

Italy, 3rd April: One of the world’s most famous designer shoe-maker, Sergio Rossi has died today at the age of 84 in Cesena, a city in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. It is reported that he was admitted to the hospital in Cesena, a few days back. The region of Emilia-Romagna in Italy is hardest-hit by the pandemic, so it is supposed that the Italian footwear designer might have died due to COVID-19. Announcing the news of the designer’s death on Friday morning, the brand’s chief executive, Riccardo Sciutto, told the fashion website Women’s Wear Daily: “He was a master, it was a great pleasure to have met him.
