Italy’s Winnings from the Euro Cup

Italy defeated England and won the Euro Cup 2020 title, receiving a sizeable monetary prize.

Italy won the European Football Championship ‘Euro 2020’ trophy after beating England 2-3 in a penalty shootout in the thrilling final on Sunday night.

Both teams drew 1-1 in both half and extra time, but the match was decided on a penalty shootout.

This is the second time Italy has won the Euro.

After winning the Euro Cup, the Italian team was awarded Rs 2.21 billion as the winner, while the runner-up England team received a prize of Rs 1.55 billion.

Italy received a total of 6.62 billion Pakistani rupees for winning the final, including 1.89 billion Pakistani rupees for winning the final alone.

Italy received 2 million euros for playing in the qualifying round, then another 3 million euros for playing in the quarter-finals.

In addition, the Italian team was given an additional prize of 5 million Euros for playing in the semi-finals, in addition to the prize money they received for playing in the final. Thus, Italy got a total of 6 billion 62 million 29 million Pakistani rupees on winning the title.

The runner-up team of the event, England, was given Rs 5.67 billion, including Rs 1.32 billion for playing in the final.

Each of the 24 teams playing in the Euro Cup has received Rs 1.75 billion for participating in the event.

In addition, the English team has announced that it will donate its prize money to the National Medical Services, a British medical institution.

It should be noted that the UEFA administration had increased the prize money for this year’s event from 304 million euros to 371 million euros.
